Description

Delicious Thai Basil Beef Rolls are a great appetizer or main dish, packed with flavorful beef and fresh basil.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 package rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Soften rice paper wrappers in warm water, then layer with lettuce and basil leaves.
  4. Add a spoonful of the beef mixture to each wrapper and roll tightly.
  5. Serve with dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with tofu or mushrooms.
