A creamy and delicious dessert, Spanish flan is a traditional caramel custard that melts in your mouth.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns golden brown. Pour it into a round baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Pour the milk mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
- Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan filled with water.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
- Invert to serve, allowing the caramel to drizzle over the flan.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of evaporated milk.
- Make sure the caramel is not burnt for the best taste.
- Flan can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
