- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in the buttermilk overnight.
- Serve with gravy for a traditional taste.
