Description

Delicious empanadas inspired by the flavors of In-N-Out, filled with savory ingredients and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add water gradually until dough forms.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika over medium heat until browned.
  3. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Fill each with the beef mixture and cheese.
  4. Fold the dough over to form half-moons and seal the edges.
  5. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, use black beans instead of ground beef.
  • These can be frozen before baking for a quick meal later.
