- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the flour and let it cook for about 1 minute.
- Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add diced jalapeños.
