Description

This delicious beef brisket is slow-cooked in the oven, resulting in a tender and flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 beef brisket (about 5-6 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the brisket with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket on both sides until browned.
  4. Transfer the seared brisket to a roasting pan, fat side up.
  5. Pour beef broth and BBQ sauce over the brisket.
  6. Cover the roasting pan tightly with foil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 to 4 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For best results, let the brisket marinate overnight with the spices before cooking.
  • You can serve the brisket with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
